Homewood?

Posted by: Naaman

What's up Homewood? Yo, where are all your people at?

Dog, I'm up in your buildings taking sub par pictures of your sub par abandonments, forcing me to compensate by overprocessing and writing kitschy blurbs like this, but where are all the people? And what's up with your BBQ joint and your bank-y building?

What's the deal Homewood?

  2. The Magnolia Park Apartments on Valley have been abandoned, so that might be an interesting investigation. Apparently they're going to demolish it this month, and they've got it pretty well fenced in. Of course, you might have already been in there.

Also, the glass on Baby Ray's was only broken a month or so ago. I drive past it every afternoon, and was very surprised to see that.

  3. Yeah, thanks, I scoped them out, but the Risk v Reward was questionable. The apartments look boarded up so even if I got past the TWO fences (fully exposed) then there is no guarantee I see anything of worth.

  4. Wowzers, I worked in the Regions Centennial Building back in the 90's. It's amazing how quickly nature takes back. Your photos are absolutely amazing. I have been pouring through your blog for the last few hours. Thank you for giving us an up close and personal look at places most of us have forgotten.

  5. Homewoodian here, and extremely late at that. I legit didn't know about that bank type building. I know some people hate giving out locations, but I'd absolutely kill to know where that bank building is/was; I've been looking for local places to explore and i've been having no luck.

  6. Just a note but I had an office in the 3rd floor of the building in the first pic back in the '80"s. Strange to see the interior gutted so.
