A long time ago, this place was awesome. By the time I got here, the state had either leveled or cleaned out the older buildings on the property.
I can only infiltrate what they don't tear down!

ReplyDeleteI a photography student at UA and my friends and I went to Old Bryce (Jemison) today for the first time. (Unfortunately we overheard people out there and not wanting to get shot, we decided to leave). But my friend and I wanted to get into Partlowe before the construction started - we even debated on going into the building while construction was going on (like on a weekend or something) but never found the time. How do you visit all these bad ass places? Do you ask permission or just sneak onto the property?? Ever been to the Bryce Hospital on campus?? That's my life's goal is to get into that main building before renovations begin and the university turns it into a welcome center (just saying those words hurt me)
Anyway, keep up the amazing work - I am officially jealous. I wish I could do this for a living.

I had wanted to get into Partlow for a long time but waited too long. My photos from there are pretty weak. Construction was going on and I just walked in. I was using a couple of credibility props and no one batted an eye.
ReplyDeleteAre they really going to tear it down? I thought it was protected by the preservation society ... I honestly had no idea I was there until the tornado hit ..

ReplyDeleteSo weird... the preview pics work, but the Flikr pages say that the pictures are missing.. Anyway way to get hat fixed?
